a point of departure

BASECAMP is a place at the edge of nature. A small site with four minimalist cabins, built to make little noise and leave a clear impression. For those who want to walk, be quiet, cook, sleep, and feel what is real again. There is land. Your cabin. A wood stove. Coffee. Breakfast. A map with three routes.

BASECAMP is for hikers, seekers of quiet, and people who no longer want to stretch themselves thin. You come for the trails, but somewhere along the way you might find yourself again.

That’s what we’re going to offer

We bought a piece of rocky land on the edge of Peneda-Gerês National Park. 3,000 square meters between the trees, with a view of the river below and direct access to the PR10 and close to the infamous GR50.

We’re building four cabins of steel, glass, and stone, each one its own piece of hillside. A shared fire pit, decking for movement and outdoor space to swap stories. There's a small pool to reset, and enough space to hear yourself think again.

Basecamp as a point of departure

Basecamp is not a place you go to disappear. It is a place where you return to yourself so you can move on again. You arrive with noise in your head and tension in your body. You sleep, walk, make fire, drink coffee, feel the ground under your feet. Let the world be for what it is, and choose how you return to it.

Sometimes it's a place to sleep

For people who like being outside.
For hikers who are not looking for a resort. Basecamp is a place to sleep, and for someone it's the beginning of deeper work.

Basecamp of departure

Basecamp is ke fire, drink coffee, feel the ground under your feet. Let the world be for what it is, and choose how you return to it.
